Art of transforming grapes into exquisite wine

Vinification

Vinification Process

At Château Puy Guilhem, we take immense pride in our meticulous winemaking process, ensuring every bottle reflects the true essence of our vineyards.

01

Hand Harvest

Our process begins with a hand harvest at both Canon Fronsac and Fronsac, meticulously selecting each grape cluster at the peak of ripeness.

02

Top-Quality Equipment and Strict Sorting

We employ state-of-the-art equipment for grape reception and implement stringent sorting techniques to ensure only the finest fruits are chosen.

Precise Vinification in Concrete Tanks

The carefully selected grapes undergo a meticulous vinification process, lasting 3 to 4 weeks in temperature-controlled concrete tanks, protected with epoxy to maintain optimal conditions.

04

Aging in French Oak Barrels

Post vinification, the wines are aged for approximately 16 months in French oak barrels. This vital aging process imparts depth, character, and complexity to our wines, ultimately creating a remarkable tasting experience.
